Interview with a Dreamer

Please welcome Namarata aka Privy Trifles the writer of  a classical  yet a sweet and soulful romantic novel called 'Metro Diaries to our blog today .

There were few questions that had been  bothering me for  sometime  , but Author Namarata has effective cleared my doubts in this regards .So shall we start with interview ? hmmm :-)

1. Describe yourself in three words?.

Obnoxious. Dependable. Hyper sensitive.
2. Please share your love recipe with us ?.

A pinch of dreams, a dash of hope mixed into a huge bowl of magic. Garnished with hugs and a topping of kisses.

Sounds mushy right? ;)

3. What defines you as a person ?

All that has happened in life. Good. Bad. Ugly. Worst. Beautiful. Everything defines me as a person.  The people I met, the places I have travelled, the books I have read... they all me me what I am today. and yes I need to add, absolutely no regrets. I am glad I did all that for I wouldn't want to change anything from my life the way it is right now. 

4. Namrata , Could you share with us a special moment that inspired you to write 'Metro Dairies '?
Metro Diaries was born in my dreams. One night after a long hectic week I was mentally trying to remember all that happened during the week.  I noticed so any budding love stories in them. And as I thought about them they made me smile. That is when I decided this smile needs to be shared. I anyways wanted my writing to touch a heart, leave a smile and make a difference.

5. According to you what is true love and how to recognize it ?

True love is where you are you more than anywhere else and yet you are loved, cared for and respected.

Nope. you cannot recognise love.  Love recognizes you . All you need to do is keep your heart open, allowing it to enter and that happens when you believe in dreams, hope and magic.

The book reflects the other qualities  of human being like hope , wanting to survive and fear of losing love ones  other than  violence , hatred and etc.. other  negative qualities .Each Story has a powerful impact on us that makes us feel 'How Safe and Luck we are ?. 'The Dove 's Lament book  is  not  a  recommended read to all the week hearted  and sensitive people who can get nightmares and  will start crying  after reading it but to those tough people  with a golden heart .

Kirthi Jayakumar is a Lawyer, specialised in Public International Law and Human Rights. She has diversified into Research and Writing in Public International Law, Arbitration and Human Rights, besides Freelance Journalism. Working as a UN Volunteer, specializing in Human Rights issues in Africa, India and Central Asia and the Middle East, Kirthi has worked extensively with grass root organizations that focus on women's rights, and also run a journal, academy and consultancy that focuses on International Law, called A38. Kirthi is also the founder of the Red Elephant Foundation, an organisation that works for the empowerment of women.

Aditi Chopra was born in India and now lives in Texas with her family. She writes NRI (Non Resident Indian) fiction and non-fiction books.
Aditi has an engineering background but she has found her creative bone in fiction writing. Her stories range from Contemporary Romance to Women's Fiction. You might see a glimpse of Bollywood in her stories and will definitely enjoy the emotional ride.

Question : What made you come up with such an interesting book title? Why Mr. Imperfect series? Do you think girls like bad boys more or is there some other reason behind the term 'Imperfect.'

Answer

I am glad that you found the title of my book interesting. You know, they say that perfection lies in imperfections. For the longest time, I used to be a perfectionist, always expecting perfection from myself and looking for it in others. But, as we all know, perfection doesn’t exist in reality. Moreover, it is really a person’s perception about others. One’s perfection may be someone else’s nightmare. I may have evolved into a practical perfectionist now.

I believe that every girl dreams of Mr. Perfect or Mr. Right especially when she is marriageable age. Some may even have a list of qualities that they would look for in their ideal partner. Somewhere, these girls have an image of how their partners should behave, look like, or talk. But in reality, what seems imperfect could really be what they needed and they didn’t even know about it.

Mr. Imperfect series delves into the lives of three intriguing women, Nikki, Sonali and Maya, who come across their “imperfect” partners from different walks of life. The stories explore how their relationships evolve as circumstances change and give us a view into contemporary relationships, which have become more complicated than they used to be.  Throughout this series, I have explored the nuances of three contemporary NRI relationships.

Devika fascination about Sweet Romantic Tales --- A Guest Post

Today I have a Special  Guest on my blog . 'Special 'would not  be an appropriate word to use .As my guest is  much more than special to say. So join you hands and clap for the  one and only  queen of romance 'DEVIKA FERNANDO'.

A Little brief about my guest: Devika has penned many novels and have self published them. All her book  have a charm to evolve a special feeling in your hearts  .All her books have  sweet  heart felt romances which we can't find in today's times.

Question: Devika all you books have sweet romantic tales. How do you draw inspiration to write such sweet stories in this fast moving world where people have a different take on romance?

Interesting question… Firstly, you’re right that these days the more erotic tales seem to enjoy bigger popularity and sell better. But I don’t think sweet love stories will ever lose their fascination completely because there are still people who want more than just “action between the sheets”.

There are three reasons why I focus on sweet / sensual / clean romance and why I find endless inspiration for it: Firstly, I prefer stories where there is actual love instead of just lust because diving into a person’s heart and mind is so interesting. Secondly, I am a firm believer in true love because I have found it myself and see it happen with others too. Thirdly, my Asian background and rather traditional family from my husband’s side would never understand it or approve it if I wrote stories with more focus on the physical aspect and with explicit details.

As for inspiration, I draw it from everything and everyone. My own experiences and news items are just as inspiring as pictures I find on the internet. I am fascinated by the many facets of love, and by the changes people can undergo when they’re in love. And just because I don’t focus mostly on sex doesn't mean that I cannot portray intimacy on some level. Last but not least, I think the television is still full enough of dramatic love stories and daily soaps – and other romance novels by such great and famous authors like Nicholas Sparks or Nora Roberts are a huge inspiration.

Almost as soon as Devika Fernando could write, she imagined stories and poems. After finishing her education in Germany and returning to her roots in Sri Lanka, she got a chance to turn her passion into her profession. Having lived in Germany and in Sri Lanka with her husband has made her experience the best (and the worst) of two totally different worlds – something that influences her writing. Her trademark are sweet, yet deeply emotional romance stories where the characters actually fall in love instead of merely falling in lust.
