Wheat Milk Patis ------Experiment cooking reciepe

Expeditions are part and parcel of life .Some people love outdoor  expeditions like trying an adventurous trip , rock or mountain climbing  and some like indoor  expeditions like reading a book , listening to music , singing and cooking .These expeditions are taken when we are in  great mood to do something different .So here I present you with latest expedition in cooking  , which  is quiet a risky affair as in you have take care of many factors like taking care of sari or duptta while you are standing near stove, don't play with water when oil  is boiling ,Keep the stove low flame and etc......things which we often tend to forget.

As we think  that we are kitchen queens/kings .I started my cooking expedition @24 years .So it have been years for me to get some of  the recipes right .One  such recipe is wheat -milk patis  which last Saturday I had made.This recipe came out my own thinking and food items that were available in the kitchen . I made this  dish to offer something different  to God as prasad rather that regular fruits which we offer to God before partaking it .

How I made this Wheat-- Milk Patis

Ingredients used :1 cup water 

                              1 tablespoon salt  

                              1 cup milk 

                              3 medium size  cups of  wheat atta

                              1 table spoon of Channa Atta 

Method to prepare :Mix all the ingredients in vessel and make a dough out the above things . Make shapes out of dough according to liking. Then heat a pan with little oil  .Wit for 2 minutes as pan  gets ready for cooking Patis .In mean time  while the pan is heated take little Rava mix it  well with  garam masala and place the pitas on it .Roll the patis on the Rava -Garam masala mixture.Then place this patis on the hot  pan by putting oil on the sides and on the center of the patis   .Wait for  the patis to become  brown, on both the sides (it may 5-10 minutes).Like this you do it for other patis .Then finally place the redid  piece of   patis on the tray. Serve it hot with curds or sauce  to your family members.They will surely  rejoiced the dish that has served with  so much love .

Disclaimer :This is my person experimental patis so It  may or may not turnout well for you all but try it .I am not a  great cook  but I like to experiment with things to bring about joy and happiness  in other's life .As cooking is great art that which  melts the  people heart and bring a big smile on their faces when they see somebody making different item for them  .

Mira wondered why her family couldn't understand the meaning of love ?. As she was being forced to marry Vasant who belong to  Pesewa clan .He looked charming but she wasn't willing to give up  her hopes on  love. The day of the meeting  dawned ,Vasant along with family came see Mira . Mira appeared in  her usual gear of  casual wear  in the mark to protest against this marriage .All the people  who were sitting in the living room were  stunned  when they saw Mira in this attire .Vasant's family  felt so humiliated that the place immediately .Mira's  mother was so  embarrassed that she didn't speak to her daughter for days.  This made Mira go crazy and made her averse to  the concept of love .Until one day Vasant  who drops at her place  seeing her pale face ,"he says  Lets paint the town red " by giving her reassuring squeeze .On hearing these words  her face lit  up and Mira hugged him with all her love for him in her eyes.

This picture of the scared squirrel is taken by me while I was walking in the park.When I saw the squirrel  from a distance he  was having a fruit that which  was available on tree.But when I went closer to the tree for talking  his  photo .The Squirrel got too scared and started getting but my Samaritan phone captured it very well within seconds.After that the squirrel went hiding into the hole creating by him.It was funny to see him run  like this .
Because of the squirrel's  fearful nature .I could  not capture many picture of the squirrel as he was  run in an  lighting speed ..I love to see Squirrels eating  their food with their hands.

Moral: We should be like the squirrel  whose nature is fearful  but it is sweet creature  which accepts anything and everything that is given to it with lots of love and humbleness.

Shivratri a uplifting festival

Shivaratri is the festival that come around in month of Feb-March before the summer seasons starts.This festival is  celebrated every year by the Hindus .They offer water , milk, curds , honey and etc....thing that they use daily in the hope that Lord Shiva would release them from  the burdens of their present ,past and also remove the obstacles laying in the way of their future.

People often fast on this day to get 'Moksha '.Especially unmarried girls and ladies to get Vishnu .

This day is celebrated to mark the union of our body,mind , intellect and soul towards  the higher source like the way Lord Shiva  got married   to Him Raja 's daughter Parvati .To achieve  him she had to do a lot of penance and observe austerities .Like wise  we also should try to aheive him by regularly doing meditation ,chanting hymns and  doing other etc....activities which is quiet difficult to do these day because of work -pressure , stress and other things .But during  festivities we should at least try to do these things so that Lord will  remember  us forever otherwise he will forget us and we would  be  living like a animal .Having animistic qualities which shouldn't exist in us as we are thinking animals.

So this Shivaratri let us turn into  a new leaf by chanting "OM NAMAH SHIVAYA"

Early morning snip notes on Vedanta

#Snip notes  on Vedanta from my early morning satsang #.I am not a early riser like my family .So as soon as I got change to go to my best friend house .I went to his house with the intention of enjoying a splendid time with him and his family by being myself in their place .But once when I went there .I couldn't  be myself. 
As they  too followed the same rules that which are followed in my house like walking up early in morning ,listening to uplifting talks that are  shown on the T.V and etc ... other  activities before setting out of the house  for office  or some client visit .

I felt like Hell  broke upon me and decided to shorten by my week 's Trip to 2 day Trip.My friend knew about it and didn't comment anything  on my decision .But Finally when I was leaving his house he looking into eyes he  said

" People who don't think beyond  body level as they cling to the bodies size shape and etc... things . They don't release that this body of their  is permanent so if even people have no great shape or size should not worry much about it. Instead we should think  that we are thy self and we the products of thy creation .So that we  can lead peace , romantic and contented life".

Saying this he drop  me back home and had dinner with us.
After he left I pondered for a while on his words .Truly ,People don't realize  their  true nature .Instead  of being happy.We often compare ourselves  with other in terms  of Color ,size,shape and other relating  things .We often forget that We  are product of thy will  and  with his will nothing on this planet moves. We look beautiful in our own way. As our  lives are ephemeral.So instead of worry about our exterior body .We should work on interior side of it by removing negative tendencies and false values within us.So that we would live a stress free  happy life .

----------------------------------*******------------------------------------ There was  a great Vedantin called ' Swami Chinmayaananda' .He was a  like magician who revive the Hindu Culture to the extent possible .His  only motto was to give happiness to maximum member .He had built ashram's  and school's for the  benefit of his devotee all over the world .

Book Review : House of Cards by Sudha Murthy

Book Review of the book House of cards written by Sudha Murthy

House of cards is Sudha Murthy 's Fourth fiction book.This book is based on the ever changing values of the modern people.This book is about Mirdula journey in this ever changing world .Mirdula who hails from a Karnataka village and is filled with enormous energy and enthusiasm to live life .But when she gets married Sanjay--a talented impoverished doctor who quiets his government job only to start his own practice to become successful doctor .Sanjay who has sold his soul for this on knowing she leaves him .But will Mirdula be able to find her own space .
My take: Sudha Murthy is a piped piper who is capable of weaving stories which are pleasurable to read .Her books are inspired from day to happening in society .House of Cards is one such book . The book is not only about a women whose heartfelt desires are not fulfilled as she is ignored by everyone around her but also about the attitude of the people in this ever changing society .Sudha Murthy has careful described the characters and their emotions in a very realistic without hurting the reader sentiments .She has perfectly and in very eloquent way has portrayed the situations faced by Mirdula and Sanjay with ease.The plot is simply superb .Dialogues are very well written in a most happening way that keeps the readers engaged till the end.There are no dull moments in this book .
A awesome read .Sudha Murthy is one of my all time favorite author. I would like 5 star rating to this book.

My eyes went on this photo while searching for something related to valentine 's day as V Day is fast approaching. I first  tried to ignore it  by closing the screen .But Alas no luck as my heart couldn't accept it and forced me to open the screen once again to  have a look at the pic . This picture is of heart .This shape is formed by using  match sticks which is quiet difficult to do .But who ever has done it hats off to the person .To get this form properly it requires   patience and perseverance .I have fallen in love this picture  , what about you?.

Shiva knew from his Ma's behavior that she hated Amber from the bottom of her heart. But  he couldn't help it as he loved  her dearly and their  daughter  Avanti was  still a small child to understand separation. Shiva coxed Amber to stay back for a while. Years passed  by making Amber  feel helpless as she didn't know how to handle this nemesis Ma. Until one day she got a one line email from her husband Shiva who had gone overseas  for some business related work. The letter read "You are the pearl of my life  and  my strength in all the difficult situations." This one line email not only created magic but also made her realize What 'love for all seasons'meant in her husband Shiva's dictionary  and she  kissed the printout of email lovingly as she could sense his presence through this mail even though he is far away from her .Amber  knew that she was already to face new challenges that life  throws at her only with the hope to change her surrounding for good
