Grateful-A Heart Rendering Story.

Once while Pam was sitting in a hotel having lunch , a distinguished looking man but dressed in shabby and tattered clothes ,entered the hotel ,ordered his lunch and after eating it , calmly walked away without making any attempt to pay the bill.The waiter looking at his personality , was reluctant to stop him and ask money .

He reported this to owner of the hotel ,a middle aged widow.She had seen the man come in and walk out. Looking at his face she thought , he looks like a upright and honest man..Therefore  she told the waiter not to bother him. Pam was surprised by to see this so she approached and asked her for a reason  for such a kind of behavior. Did you want reply did Pam get.

This man reminded me of another man like him who did the same thing years ago. Every day for a  month this man used come in  , had his lunch and then  walk out .Then suddenly one day he stopped coming to this hotel. Pam kept wondering as to what might have been the reason  behind for this man to stop coming to this hotel , but she had no way of finding  out .

"One year later Pam receives  a  legal notice  from Mr. Shank and his will .Pam thought and thought again, but she could not recall  any relation by this name. Pam felt that courier walla might had made a mistake and tried to reach him out by calling him back..But no her name and address was correct.Now Pam went to hear the will out of curiosity , imagine Pam surprise when  she heard  the lawyer read , I leave Rs.5000/= to the kind lady who allowed me free lunch for the entire month and saved my life at the time  when I did not have a single naya paisa  in my pocket.I would like to  thank her for the kind consideration and faith in my honesty. Today I have the money  and power. I would love to show my gratitude towards the lady  who had a golden heart to let me  have meals for free then."

Hearing the will Pam 's eyes misted as she hadn't seen such a kind of person like Mr.Shank who has shown his gratefulness towards the lady who had allowed  him to  have free meals in  that hotel which the lady ran in today's times.She felt so happy and relieved for she had considered Mr.Shank as a 'looter' then.With these happy thoughts Pam slept peaceful for the first time in the entire 25 years of her life.
